The 922G-series is a high quality product, has long service intervals and can be used almost everywhere. It has been designed to be used every day, year after year. Easy to operate and the many possibilities for individual operator settings in the cab also makes it exceptionally suitable for rental
The Hydrema 922G Series are articulated dump trucks in the 18 & 20 ton class, developed for sensitive and rough terrain.
The combination of the market’s lowest unladen weight, its unique articulated pivot joint, bogie axle with high pendulum angle and the highest power-to-weight ratio on the market, give the dump trucks unrivalled terrain manoeuvrability.
The Hydrema 922G-Series offers excellent driving capabilities at all speeds and on all surfaces, due to the oscillated and hydraulic stabilised pivot joint.
The combination of the rigid front axle with electronically controlled suspension and level control that align the machine in an optimal position, along with the the heavy-duty bogie rear axles, provide the operator with a high level of stability and comfort, especially during the tipping process.
In rough terrain, engine power and torque make all the difference. Equipped with the EGR-free 6-cylinder Cummins B6.7 Stage-V engine and an intelligent 6-gear ZF Soft-Shift transmission, the performance of the 922G dump truck Series, is better than for any of the previous 20-ton machines from Hydrema.
The intelligent transmission effectively translates the engine’s 314 hp and 1288 Nm of torque into the maximal tractive effort.
A dump truck from the 922G Series is easy to operate and the driver will soon feel at home with the machine’s manoeuvrability and functions. User-friendly switches and joystick-controlled tipping, automatic or manual gearshift and good visibility from the suspended cab, provides the best and most comfortable working conditions.
With an upgraded and more powerful retarder system, the hydraulic system now consists of 5 independent hydraulic pumps, to ensure that all of the functions operate independently and with the least amount of energy loss.
The retarder system is a combination of engine brake and hydraulic retarder. It is operated via a switch in the right armrest and relieves the service brake when travelling downhill.
The spacious cab has two doors, with lighting for safe entry in all light conditions, great visibility and an easy-to-clean interior.
For maximum safety, the cab is ROPS/ FOPS approved with heavy-duty viscous mounts to reduce vibrations.
All functions have the best ergonomic positions, so the operator feels comfortably seated at all times. The multi-joystick control is installed, as an integrated part of the right armrest in the new standard Air suspended seat, with ventilation and longitudinal dampening, and the armrests and steering collumn are multi-adjustable.
The multi-joystick operates the main dump truck functions, such as tipping, gear selection, forward/reverse and differential lock, providing easy control at your fingertips.
The computer-controlled instrument display with data storage, and a powerful heating and cooling system, a storage box, and connections for 12V & 24V plugs are standard equipment in the cabin.
To optimise the workflow, we have focused on making the tipping process as fast and effective as possible.
The 5-pump hydraulic system ensures that steering and tipping never feel “sluggish”. The separate pumps provide independent control of the steering and tipping functions, allowing the positioning of the vehicle while initiating the tipping cycle.
The two powerful tipping cylinders underneath the skip are well-protected and have a short stroke length, which enables the body to be raised quickly and provides faster unloading.
The electric-servo controls enable new features for smooth tipping, which provides a soft start and stop when raising and lowering the body. Along with expanded functionality, so the auto-body-return system now also includes auto-raising of the body. The automatic tipping throttle will increase the engine speed when the tipping function is activated to raise the body faster.
To increase efficiency and prevent overloading, Hydrema has developed a payload measuring system. When activated, the system calculates the payload via pressure sensors and angle of the vehicle, where the calculated payload then is shown to the operator in the dashboard.
With more sensors and a new dashboard layout, the operator gain access to considerably more information, which provides for a safer tipping process. This, among others, includes the new hoist-assistance, where an inclination sensor in the dashboard shows the machine’s gradient both sideways and longitudinal. Should the inclination become too severe, a warning will appear letting the operator know if it is unsafe to tip
When conducting service and maintenance checks, accessing the engine and various filters are made easy. With a simple push of a button in the cab, the bonnet will open electronically.
The large bonnet opening allows full and safe access to all service points, so daily service checks can be carried out quickly.
The 922G comes standard with 600 mm wide tires and a high level of standard equipment.
The 922G can be equipped with 800mm wide tires for superb off-road capabilities
If you want the lowest possible ground pressure, go for the 920G version with its 920mm wide tires.
Targeted toward ultra-low ground pressure jobs with just 85 kPa fully loaded, the Hydrema 920G dump truck can operate in the most demanding conditions.
The wider bias-belted tires with steel reinforcement for high puncture resistance has outstanding off-road capabilities with excellent grip and self-cleaning characteristics, making it perfect for soft and muddy terrains.
The dump truck is also available in a road version — the 922G 2.55. The dump truck body, axles and EM-tires are more narrow compared to the standard version, keeping the width below 2.55m and making registration for driving on public roads possible.*
The 922G 2.55 is available in both 30 and 50 km/h versions.
(*Region dependent)
The 922G Series is also available in two MultiChassis versions, with a short or long wheelbase. These trucks provide a universal platform where a variety of customised solutions can be attached.
Solutions like; A water tank, a lime spreader, forestry equipment or a Hooklift for container handling - or perhaps a flatbed body, that allows transport of building equipment and materials or heavy machinery.
Hydrema Telematics is included as standard on all Hydrema machines.
Information about temperatures, oil pressure, fuel consumption, CO2-emission and current fuel level is collected from the excavator and displayed in the web portal or on the operator's smartphone. The system also gathers and displays error codes to ensure that service and repairs are done as fast and precisely as possible.
Regarding the machine's software, updates can be uploaded via the telematics can-link unit, making remote updates possible via the GSM network, which saves a physical visit from Hydrema service personnel. These functions and features ensure the machine owner has the least possible downtime and highly efficient operation.
