HYDREMA 912D – SPECIALITIES

912DS RAIL: articulated dumptruck with rail wheels

Hydrema’s factory mounted rail wheel system is an option specifically designed for the Hydrema 912DS. With just a limited number of modifications,

Hydrema’s 2-axle dumptruck is particularly well-suited to working on railway tracks. Driving onto and off the tracks is easy thanks to the pivot steering system and the dumptruck’s integrated cameras. Thanks to the pivot steering, simply turning the steering wheel enables the dumptruck to be correctly lined up on the rails.

The cameras ensure the best possible view of the rail wheels when they are lowered. The MultiTip function is a “must” when laying out aggregates or similar products along the railway tracks..

In the video on the left you can see how the rail wheel system works in practice.

Suspension on front axle with electronic level control

The Hydrema 912DS model is equipped with a newly developed suspension system for the front axle. The system is an electrohydraulic spring system featuring independent suspension cylinders and level control of the two front wheels. With its rapid regulation and long spring travel, the system provides a hitherto unseen level of comfort for this type of machine.

The driver will be less affected by vibration during a long working day and experience considerably greater efficiency, in particular on long transport stages.

The 912DS model is developed for the most professional and demanding of users.

MultiTip

The strong body design ensures easy fast emptying and long life. With the optional MultiTip function the payload can be tipped anywhere in a 180o area keeping cycle times to a minimum and handily placing the load exactly where it is needed. This seamless operation is now made more convenient by the addition of a body return feature which puts the body back to the neutral position automatically.

The machine also has a tipping break and auto throttle control to speed up the whole process. The body is tipped via two double acting cylinders and the swivel option is supported by a robust turning ring mounted on the chassis.
